Instantes on "Extremely Slow Backup"

Another unsatisfied customer. Upload speed is terrible. Luckily I only paid $7. Looking for an alternative now. What a dissapointment.

Okay, so let the backup process running for 39hrs now and it has backed up 112GB of data.
Am I wrong to think this is waay too slow? Are my expectations too high?
Honestly I would have expected the speed to be much much faster. With this speed it will take about 13 days to backup my essentials... If I were to add the rest, I can only imagine...
And if something happends and I should need this backup, will the process be just as slow?

Software was removed and latest software was installed. Still same issue.

I am having the very same issue. Even after reinstalling Windows 10 (which I had to do for a different reason) and a fresh install of IDriveSync I still get the same error.

@TorVincent - thats fast enough for online backup. Remember that once everything is uploaded you'll typicically only have small incremental uploads.

Just add my 2 cents. It took nearly 2 weeks for my 500 GB to back up the first time, which I think is excessive. I have a very fast internet connection with my machine up 7/24. I'm currently a Mozy customer and trialing IDrive for $7. The incremental backups are ok now but there are times it just goes to sleep for no reason. I'm worried about the restore speed too and the fact that new files were not initially found to be backed up. Consequently I disabled the auto renew. I get the feeling this product is a little immature. I think I'll give BackBlaze a try to compare. Mozy is great but its just too darn expensive.

On one PC I was prompted to do the update. That got me to have iDrive on another PC check for an update and that was found as well. Well done.

It is extremely slow. I have a 135/20 Mbps link and the upload iDrive upload usage is 4 Mbps.
Version 6.7.0.33

Disappointed.

I am new to iDrive. I did receive a 1 terabyte drive from iDrive, filled it up and is now live on my 'cloud'. I ran a backup last evening, & it looks like it uploaded perhaps 30 gigabytes. But it was only 7% done. Now I really just wanted files that had been added or changed. This wouldn't have been more than 5 or 10 gigabytes I'm thinking. I checked my pictures which are the largest real-estate usually along with video files.

Is there a setting to do new files or should I just go in and save the new images, documents...

A good tutorial I have been looking for to explain the features.

I also have a large set of folders with checkmarks for exclusion into the backup. Not sure why those are there, as I did not set any folders to be excluded.

where is the "Verify Now" option. It is not under my settings tab.

I got notification that an update was available. Clicked the "update" option in the notification window. An error was generated about permissions - "Setup unable to create directory ... idrivewindows/uninstall/.

When I close the window idrive uninstalls itself. I'm assuming that I have to reinstall idrive. How do I prevent this from happening again?
