In fact, it's currently the top energy user except for the key builtin services, above my browser, twitter, etc which have all been used a good amount today. This was never the case with the previous version, where it was using 1% or less of power, now its 3.5% or greater at all times.

Dominik on "100 kB/s upload speed"
Hi Marcel,
I've got now an appointment for a remote session with IDrive. I will keep you updated.
Interestingly, I figured out that if I create a "Backup set" for every subfolder (there are 7), the upload speed increases to ~700kB/s. For me it looks like, that IDrive caps the upload speed at 100kB/s per connection.
Probably I will now get the standard reply, that IDrive doesn't cap the upload speed. But now I'm really interested, how you can explain this!
GrahamN on "100 kB/s upload speed"
As per my other post I too have hit the 100Kbs upload issue also using a Synology NAS. Until a few weeks ago we had it running at 30+MBps. I always liked the Idrive client on the Synology because we could get these speeds. The Windows client on Server 2012 would never upload at more than 8MBps - from exactly the same network.

Brian Biggs on "Extremely Slow Backup"
I am also a new user and am having these extremely slow backup problems. Uploading 230GB and it's been about 10 days or so now. Still another 3 days left.
As someone else said, I'm glad I got the $7 deal. Unfortunately, I'm not real happy with the fact that this is still an issue and I may have to re-evaluate a backup solution for my friends and family. This was supposed to be the CrashPlan alternative. I like everything about IDrive except for the horrible upload speeds. And from reading other postings, it sounds like the download speeds are no better.
Daniel_SS on "Archive Cleanup not working for Mapped drive"
I read the above explanation and what if the mapped drives letters are not changed at all. Then this feature can be implemented without any issues unless your developers do not have the adequate knowledge.
CGYGuy on "how to see which files failed to backup?"
I'm having the same problem. 6 files failed to backup. Support unfortunately is really sad and can't get through on the phones.
Here is a typical response example:
Q How to fix backup failure?
A You need to allow permissions
Q How to do that?
A Consult your administrator

Any idea on a fix timeframe? I had to uninstall it was draining so much. Seems others are also encountering based on comments in the play store.

Hi,
I tried to have a remote session today, but nobody of the development team was available...
pete65 on "Extremely Slow Backup"
I'm getting better results than most who post here, 237GB in 2 days upload. Most of the time my upload averages 14-20 Mbps. I get 60-85Mbps using Dropbox or google drive uploading GB's in no time. I'm not expecting to use my entire up bandwidth but this is 1/4 of my possible speed...
Wired 1Gbps Ethernet Fios Fiber East Coast Central NJ up/down 75/75Mbps
Speedtest.net
Local server 85/95Mbps
San Diego 80/85Mbps
Berlin 81/45Mbps
Japan Tokyo 65/21Mbps
Hong Kong 60/17Mbps
Melbourne 50/16Mbps
Such slow results would mean the path to the data center is long and its far far away from NYC area... or the traffic is heavy at the data centers that the bandwidth is used up and packets are dropped or delayed.

RonL on "Idrive not waking up Windows anymore since FCU update"
Hi...I have four windows 10 pro machines backing up to idrive. One of them was backing up as scheduled at 3am but has now stopped. Only reason I can figure is that it is not waking the machine up. Other's are backing fine as scheduled after hours.
I have re-set the scheduler, I have checked the box telling it to "WAKE UP COMPUTER FROM HIBERNAT/SLEEP MODE."
BTW, backups proceed as normal if machine is not in sleep mode.
Gansker on "how to see which files failed to backup?"
I have succeed backup files from Mobile phone , the key is how to connect your phone to computer , perhaps ,that's why most people fail , if the phone isn't fully connected to the computer, the data transmission will fail ,so the Android backup program will fail,
