New to iDrive, on Mac (~1 month)
Running the latest app version, with the latest macOS.
Since install, have seen enormous jumps in network upload bandwidth.
There seems to be 2 instances of idrive_ver_001 running, both uploading data continuously. Even with CDP turned off, and the once-a-day scheduled backup being 'complete'.

What is the fix for this???

I have a Synology DS211J running the latest DSM (6.0.2-8451 Update 7) with the latest Synology package 2.03.23. I have followed the package installation instructs, but opening the IDrive application for the first time does not present a logon page. There are no errors in the event logs to provide. Any assistance is appreciated.

I too have a complaint about iDrive's billing but of a different nature. My annual subscription is ending shortly, and iDrive sent me a auto-renewal notice a couple weeks ago. Despite having an online chat (which ended with the rep telling me to get in contact with the billing department) and two emails I sent them, I have yet to receive a reply on the cost of the renewal.

It sure doesn't feel like you want my business, because without knowing the cost, I will just go to another backup service.

idwutil_600.exe (32 bit) is using a lot of cpu resources (approx 30%)= is this normal? is there a way to limit/change/etc this. 30% of cpu for backup service seems high. if this is the case and is normal, i will have to change backup services.

The problem appears to extend to the cloud backups as well if the initial backup set was created using a locally connected external drive. iDrive offers this for an initial setup. I sent a hard drive back after performing a local 700GB backup, and when the files appeared available online, started a scheduled nightly backup. Regrettably, the iDrive app can only perform full backups which, over my DSL line, will take several months. This is a curious deficiency for a product that appears to be relatively 'mature'.

I asked support about this and they appear to be unfamiliar with the problem - yet i followed their recommended route when I signed up for the service (default installation settings, default user folders in backup set, accepted offer of external hard drive for initial backup, etc.). They suggested I upgrade to the latest version of the iDrive app, however the latest version suffers from this same shortcoming: It doesn't do incremental backups against a full backup made to an external drive.

I have not heard back from tech support. I hope I do. I had high hopes for this backup solution.

Our application is designed to use minimum system resources. In order to investigate this issue further, please login to your account from the application and click on your account username on the top right corner of the screen. Please use the "send error report" option to send us the report. Logs will be attached to the report sent.

I provided my information to chat support on Tuesday. From the Chat support session, I provided as much information to the technician as possible, however I was assured that I would be contacted via email with further instructions. It has been a few days and I wanted to make sure this is being worked on.

While I am waiting for further instructions, can you send me the link to download the previous Synology package "2.03.22"?

superuser on "idrive doesnt find my dropbox folder"

Hi-

I have a folder named dropbox under my username, on my iMac. idrive cant see this folder - no idea why. It isn't locked for sure. Any ideas?
