Hi,
My connection is a 50 mbit download and 10 mbit upload on optic fibre.
My PC is connected to the router through ethernet cable, no one else is using my bandwidth, firewall is off, and with other cloud services I can download and upload at full capacity. Even speedtest net shows 50+10 by testing my connection with any Californian host based.

Here is the problem: When I backup (upload) through IDrive software the maximum speed I get is only 3 mbit, and another 3 mbit on restore (download). The maximum speeds I get by backing up on restoring through IDrive web interface are respectively: 10 mbit upload and 12 mbit download. As I said my connection works great with other cloud service, by using the speed up to its maximum (50 down + 10 up). I guess there must be a problem with the IDrive software, as although not being great through web interface as well, it is 4 times faster than operating through the software.
Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

ID2016 on "SMS Not Being Backed Up"

Hi,

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (Verizon + Android 5.0) and IDrive backs up everything except SMS. I have re-installed the app 3 times. I have changed the default messenger app to different apps and still no backup of the SMS.

The app looks like it is backing up the SMS and when I check there is nothing in the SMS folder in the app or even when I log into via my desktop.

Any ideas to what could be causing this issue?

upload and download from software 2.5 mbit respectively
upload and download from web interface 10 and 12 mbit respectively

According to some tests I'm running I'm starting to think that part of the problem COULD be caused by the ports IDrive software uses. In fact if you guys try to upload or download from the web interface your speed should get much better. I don't get why they don't use port 80 which should always be open, just like Zoolz and others do. I'll keep the thread updated if I get any news from IDrive staff or something.

Can anyone confirm the pre-req steps still work on DSM 6.0.1-7393? I've tried those steps over and over again and they don't fix the issue. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled iDrive 2.03.20 and still no luck.

Never mind, my issue was the 404 error and I missed the section in the FAQ with the fix.
