Zark0 on "Was I conned or has this service just degraded severely recently?"

I would like to think I did some valid research before finding a suitable cloud backup service that was cross platform and had quality of security (owned Keys for example), and other great services that iDrive seems to offer.

Yet here I am 3 days after purchasing my subscription and I have yet to be able to simply get one initially backup done. I have 10-15MBit upload bandwidth available so that isn't the issue.

I have seriously trimmed my backup down to a mere 190GB, first one the app bombed at around 50% (I use the Mac client), and to my astonishment an the entire backup had to start over, no understand of why that is.

Second one started which had run all night long, I left computer on while I went to work only to find an error message stating my backup had once again failed, and has now restarted all over again.

This is absolutely terrible. This is literally the most basic feature of this application, uploading data, and it's made to be such a bug filled slow experience? I have seen other people complaining of slow speeds, but constantly failed uploads starting over from 0%?

Is this common with this service? I would like to know so I can pull out now and rather find a service where I can at the very least get past the backup portion, I wouldn't want to imagine trying to do a recovery right now.
