BobT on "Backup Fails after Last update"

I noticed the same behavior change (events which were previously logged as [Information] are now logged as [ERROR]. But I also began to delve into why iDrive has not been able to back those folders up in the first place. I realized that Microsoft's User Access Control feature is interfering with the access to the folders. I am not sure how to allow iDrive access to the folders. Should I add my account to the local Backup Operators group? It would be a desirable feature to allow iDrive to run under another user context (such as an iDrive account which could be placed in the Backup Operators group). Another way to resolve the inability of iDrive to access these folders would be to include the ability for the program to recognize that UAC is blocking access to the folder and respond appropriately to gain access (but, perhaps, Microsoft does not allow programs to respond to UAC - for good security reasons).
