starbuck on "Server backup ESXi 6 not working"

I had a similar problem on ESXi 5.5. Here is what I did to solve my problem:
I backtracked and discovered I had opted to download and install VMWare PowerCLI 5.5 Release 2 patch 1 (build #1931983.) Removed and reinstalled PowerCLI 5.5 Release 1 (build #1295336) and problem was solved.
