I got iDrive 2 days ago and have also been experiencing very slow uploads. Mostly the frustration comes from the estimations the program shows me for completion of the backup.
For example, last night at 10PM, it said 10hrs remaining to finish the backup. This morning, I check things expecting it to be done and it still says 10hrs remaining, even though about some data had been uploaded overnight. Using an online estimator, it looks like I should be expecting about 19hrs for 60GB to transfer with my 7.5Mb/s upload speed. I'm now at 24hrs and 63% has gone up.
With 37% remaining, I'm getting the same estimate for upload that I did at 1%. I keep wondering if there's something wrong, but reading this thread it seems normal for such long uploads.
Is there anything I can do to help the estimator give me a more accurate number? If at least I know how long it's going to take I can stop worrying something isn't working correctly!
